7 Tones Art Studio was established in 2006, our classes are taught by professional artists with over 25 years of experience in arts education.

    Our art teachers:

    Sheridan College animation graduate &

    Practicing professional artists.

We are more than just art teachers—instructors at 7 Tones Studio pride in helping students develop a well-rounded artistic mindset.

More than technical skills, we nurture an artistic mindset—encouraging curiosity, observation, and personal voice.

Students are supported to take on complex projects with confidence, clarity, and care. We believe every child carries artistic potential.

Through small class size and individualized guidance, our instructors are able to truly see each student and support their growth—artistically and personally. As arts educators, we ensure that our classes are enjoyable and academically grounded.

We believe artistic freedom comes from the ability to be able to undertake any subject with unwavering confidence and skill, in the way the artist desires.

For this reason we teach:

Art Fundamentals: This includes, not limited to, age appropriate drawing skills and techniques to improve and work with students' natural talents or built new ones.

Creativity & Expression: Rather than just reproducing work. We respect that every student is different, with their own vision so the art they create a reflection of themselves and not only the instructor.

Critical & Lateral Thinking/ Problem Solving: We encourage students to learn from their mistakes and find their own solutions. Art, unlike many other subjects, does not have only one right answer. In discovering this, students can learn to develop their own independent reasoning.

Self Confidence: Many lack confidence when it comes to art and become frustrated. Confidence can come from the achievement of learning and mastering new skills, learning to appreciate what one can do now and a belief that one can and will grow in the future.

How we approach our lessons:
Creativity is demonstrated from the bottom up.  Our lessons are approached  organically. We show the creative process within the lesson rather than following a strict curriculum. We remain flexible to leave room for each student to find their own way, problem solve, and  explore. It is also in this way we strive to stay responsive to the unique needs, learning style, and interest of the student.

We explore different styles of art, from cartooning, realism, design to abstract and everything between. We give the freedom to our student to focus on the area that will motivate their passion to learn the most. The result is art, that is unique and special from each student in the class.

Mission: 25+ years of art education experience.
Empowering young artists to find their unique voice through foundational skills and creative thinking.
